Keeping Little Explorers Safe
Safety, Supervision & Liability Terms
The educational activities, ideas, and prompts provided across our website and curriculum packs are designed for general enrichment, learning, and family fun. By using our resources or undertaking any suggested tasks, you agree to the following terms:
Parental & Adult Supervision: All learning activities—whether completed at home, in the garden, or out exploring historical sites and public spaces—must be carried out under the continuous and direct supervision of a responsible adult. The supervising adult remains entirely responsible for the care, safety, and behaviour of participating children at all times.
Dynamic Risk Assessment: It is the responsibility of the supervising adult to assess the immediate environment, weather conditions, terrain, equipment, and materials before starting any task. Please adapt, pause, or omit any activity to suit your specific location and your child’s age, developmental stage, and physical abilities.
Out & About on Location: When visiting historical properties, coastal areas, or public grounds, always follow posted visitor guidelines, marked footpaths, safety barriers, and staff directions. Remain alert to uneven pathways, steep steps, high drops, open water, and variable weather. Always ensure children are standing on safe, flat, and stable ground before stopping to write, calculate, or carry out practical challenges to prevent slips, trips, or falls.
Home & Practical Exploration: For hands-on crafts, cooking, science investigations, or nature collections, adults must ensure that equipment (such as scissors or tools), natural finds, and ingredients are handled safely, hygienically, and with full regard to personal allergies or sensitivities.
Limitation of Liability: While every effort is made to provide safe, constructive, and enjoyable educational resources, the author and publisher accept no liability or responsibility for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, injury, illness, damage, or accident arising from the use of these materials.
